My name is Matt Weston, and I offer some of the most relaxed and fun, yet focused drum lessons in Chelmsford and the surrounding area. If you're interested in drums and drumming and are looking for a well qualified, experienced and friendly tutor, look no further! Considering my extensive facilities my rates are competitive.
About me...
My official qualifications include:
- BA (Hons) in Band Musicianship
- Grade 6 Theory, Associated Board of Music
- Grade 8 Drum Kit, Guildhall School of Music
And hold a current CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check, for your peace of mind. I regularly teach drums in primary and secondary schools throughout the Essex area, and am totally committed to my pupils' needs. I am capable of providing bespoke tuition services, dependent upon my perception of the individual student's needs.
Whether drums are a fun hobby or a way of life, I have something to offer you! Drawing on my many years of gigging experience I can help even the advanced drummer. Whatever style of music you're interested in, be it Rock, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Drum 'n' bass, lessons can be focussed around specific topics. Each lesson is geared around the student's individual needs with the use of worksheets and audio examples.
Aswell as teaching I play in various function bands. I also currently play for Big Brother 7 winner Pete Bennett and Brighton based original band Kiina. Recently, Iworked with top producer Richard Flack (Robbie Williamn, Queens Of The Stone Age, Gary Barlow).
